New System Of Processing Endorsments

Attention! Updated Application form for Belizean Endorsement
IMMARBE introduced an updated Application form which comes into usage from August 1st 2018. It’s an extended version of the previous one. Filling out this one form you can apply for several documents at once: COC Endorsement, GMDSS Endorsement, Seaman’s Book, Special Type Endorsement (Oil Tanker, Chemical Tanker etc.) and Additional Endorsements.

Attention! Tanzania bannes registration for foreign vessels!
Ship owners, operators and managers who have the vessels registered under the flag of Tanzania or intend to make an application for a registration under the before mentioned flag should consider changing the flag of their vessels to another legal maritime international registry in order to avoid arrests of their vessels in different countries and their registration under the flag of Tanzania through pseudo-registrars operating allegedly on behalf of the Maritime Administration of Tanzania.

Period of Free Reissuance of Endorsements of Old Format is Coming to an End
In May 2017 in order to comply with Manila Amendments IMMARBE have developed a new design of Endorsements. All Endorsements issued before May 17, 2017 were not in compliance with 2010 STCW Convention due to the fact that those Belize Endorsement Certificate made reference to Regulation I/2 paragraph 9 instead of the paragraph 11.

Application of the Convention on Ballast Water Management
Ballast Water Management Convention was ratified in February 2004 and will enter into force on the 8th of September 2017. This Convention contains regulations for the control and management of ships ballast water and sediments with aimed to the prevention of transportation of undesirable microorganisms and pathogens through the ballast water. This Convention applies to all ships in international trade including submersibles, floating craft, floating platforms, FSUs and FPSOs.

2010 Manila Amedments - Minimum Safe Manning Certificate
The International Merchant Marine Registry of Belize (IMMARBE) in view of the concerns raised due to the entry into force of the 2010 Manila Amendments to the STCW Convention and Code, the non- inclusion of the new STCW Regulations into the Minimum Safe Manning Certificate (MSMC), and with the aim to provide a proper clarification on this matter, conducted the detailed review.
