IMMARBE WARNING NOTICE FOR NON-COMPLIANCE WITH MMN-19-006r1 PORT STATE CONTROL ANALYSIS AND SELF-INSPECTION PROGRAM
The International Merchant Marine Registry of Belize is officially issuing this Warning Notice with effect as at 1 July 2021 any Belize registered vessel found in non-compliance with Merchant Marine Notice 19-006r1 regarding Port State Control Analysis and Self-Inspection Program will be subject to the imposition of a Fine in virtue of the Directive 7 of Belize Statutory Instrument 56 of 1991 (Disciplinary Regulations).
After 1 July 2021 if any Shipowner, ISM Operator and Master is found to continue not to comply with the Self-Inspection program, the above-mentioned Directive 7 will be applied as follows:
- A Fine of USD 2,000.00 will be imposed.
- A Fine of USD 3,000.00 will be imposed if this non-compliance is found together with a PSC Inspection resulting with 7 or more deficiencies.
- A Fine of USD 5,000.00 will be imposed if this non-compliance is found together with a PSC Inspection resulting in a Detention of the vessel.
- A Fine of USD 10,000.00 will be imposed if the vessel submitted the Self-Inspection Checklist and it is detained after 10 days due to the submission of false information.
