MLC, 2006 Amendments came into force

On January 18th, 2017 new MLC, 2006 Amendments in regards to Regulation 2.5 regarding Repatriation and Regulation 4.2 regarding Shipowner’s Liability came into force. According to the Amendments all owners/operators/managers are required to apply to insurance companies servicing your vessels, to revise the insurance policy in order to include Amendments of 2014 to the Maritime Labour Convention, 2006 with further application to Flag Administration in order to reissue DMLC Part I. After receipt the DMLC Part I, the DMLC Part II has to be amended (and MLC Manual is required to be corrected).
