Revised requirements for COC endorsements

Maritime Administration of Belize (IMMARBE) has revised the requirements for certification of Certificates of Competency (COC).

From September 01, 2016 IMMARBE no longer endorses the COCs of Ratings (Deck and Engine). Though it is obligatory that  one should hold on board of Belize-flagged  vessel valid  Certificate of Proficiency issued by, or on behalf of, any credible Administration (Member Party of STCW Convention) in accordance with STCW Convention and code.

Officers of both Deck and Engine Crew are still required to hold valid Belize endorsement attesting the recognition of Certificate of Competency and GMDSS.
