Important Notice on PSC Requirements in Turkish Ports

Please be informed that due to the entering into force new requirements of STCW Convention with Manila Amendments from 01/01/2014 regarding security training for seafarers, PSC in Turkish Ports have already detained many vessels and require all the seafarers to possess courses “Familiarization and security awareness training for all seafarers” Regulation VI/6, table А-VI/6-1 and “Designated security duties of seafarers” Regulation VI/6, table А-VI/6-2 including those officers who have already received "Ship Security Officer Course" Regulation VI/5, table А- VI/5.
